Positive: We just got back from a weekend break here at Barnfields Retreat. If I could rate this more stars I would, John and he’s wife were exceptionally welcoming, it actually felt like they was our friends and not hosts. The room was beyond our expectations, it was clean, cosy and complimentary drinks / chocolates was an added bonus that was very appreciated. Nothing would ever be too much for John and he’s wife, the breakfast was beautifully laid out and they wanted us to feel at home which we definitely did. We have paid double the price we paid here to stay at places that were not even a 1/4 of what this property has to offer. We are planning our next visit with our children next time as we want our children to experience what we did. John calls you on a name basis as if you’re one of he’s friends, you can just tell he enjoys doing this and that is what makes this stay just amazing. If you’re looking at staying somewhere and have stumbled across this review I have written, I urge you to book, you will not be disappointed. Thank you John and your lovely wife. Maddy & Mark.
