In a quiet area on the outskirts of Porto Azzurro about 250 meters from the splendid beach of Barbarossa, an equipped beach with the possibility of renting canoes and pedal boats, a free beach, restaurants and bars, and a prestigious diving center for diving school and guided excursions. Porto Azzurro is one of the most charming towns on the island of Elba, with its seafront and splendid square. Situated on the south-eastern side of the island, it allows easy access to other nearby towns such as Capoliveri, Lacona, Marina di Campo, Portoferraio, Rio Marina and the most beautiful beaches on the island. The town centre can be reached on foot from the apartments, via a secondary road, in just 15 minutes approximately; In the summer, in the evening, it is also possible to use a free shuttle bus service. From the nearby Barbarossa beach, you can access the Carmignani walk, a short naturalistic trekking route (approximately 1 km) of modest difficulty, therefore particularly suitable for children, with spectacular views overlooking the sea that run alongside the ancient San Giacomo Fortress, currently home to the Porto Azzurro prison; the route ends at the Pianotta beach, near the town's seafront.
