Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was fantastic—right in the heart of beautiful Porto Cervo, with restaurants and designer shops just steps away. It's a short walk to the Marina and the relatively affordable Cafe du Port and Crazy Pizza Restaurant. The small kitchen has all the facilities you require—a large fridge-freezer, oven, plenty of utensils, pretty crockery, wine and champagne glasses, and plenty of cupboard space. Good shower with plenty of hot water.

Negative: The apartment was very dark, with heavy furniture, sideboards, and cabinets that took up too much space and did not add anything regarding facilities and decor. Too much unnecessary bric-a-brac gave the quite spacious apartment a very dated feel, and the space was not used efficiently. There was a spacious terrace at the back of the apartment, but like the apartment, it was drably furnished, and the lighting did not work. However, it could be a very inviting terrace without spending too much money. Lighting and a few plants would transform it. In summary, this apartment must be redesigned and modernised to capitalise on its fantastic location.

Summary: Our stay in Porto Cervo was wonderful.
