Villa is a large and comfortable hillside villa between Florence and Siena. Up until recently it was an abbandoned stable but has been restaured by the new owners with meticulous care, converting the old building into a splendid country house, full of charm and the kitchen there is a spacious, furnished loggia and a shady area for outside eating.
The well cared for garden which surrounds the house , insures complete privacy and leads to a large swimming pool , positioned so as to enjoy the best views. It is clear that the pool has not always been there , that it has been "added on" , but the blue surrounded by the well kept lawn is in perfect harmony with the rest of the house. The pool is surrounded by dark wood, a delightful sensation on the soles of the feet, and you can enter the pool from there or from the diving board. The important thing is to enjoy the freshness in the heat of the Summer sun.
From the terrace above the pool you can enjoy a drink,or lie on the hammock whilst enjoying the cool evening air. A fourth bathroom is under the terrace - the pool, also has a sauna, just to complete the picture of complete relax.

All the internal areas have been furnished with both modern and classical, traditional, Tuscan pieces, which blend well with the antique "cotto" floors and the beams in the ceiling. The big kitchen includes dishwasher, stove, double American fridge with a lovely
fireplace.
As in all original peasant houses the kitchen was the most important part of the house, where the family gathered to enjoy those original, Tuscan dishes which can also be enjoyed by the guests on request.
Moving on into the lounge-room, it is easy to understand that the person who restored the house has done so with great care and the antique materials put together with the "know-how" of long ago and with attention to modern, comfortable living. The care for detail is amazing. The fireplace, with its great stone mantle, the stairs and window fittings in carved pietre serena, the decorated walls. Above the loungeroom there is a studio with 2 divans which can be turned into two comfortable beds.
Still following the original idea of the country house, there are three bedrooms....two doubles and a single....with wooden floors . these are on the first floor and are reached by a stone staircase. One of the bedrooms has a large door which opens onto a spacious terrace
from which you can overlook the garden and pool area.
The three bathrooms have nothing to do with "antique", but everything that the modern technology can offer. Nothing is missing, not even the hydromassage, but the cold technology is softened by the same warmth that you find in the rest of the house.
