Positive: This was probably my favourite stay during our 2-week BIH adventure. Absolutely beautiful location. It’s on the opposite side of the lake from town so we left our car in a free car park the other side and the owners took us and our luggage across in a boat (remember to go to the supermarket first!) Once there, it’s such a relaxing getaway. It’s part of a small cluster of lake houses but there is enough space around them for it to feel quite private. There’s a terrace on the ground floor and a balcony on the top floor to sit and take in the beautiful lake and mountain views. There are steps down to the lake so you can get in and swim directly from the house, and the water was a lovely temperature in August There are a few water snakes hanging around but they disappear as soon as they see you coming so didn’t worry us at all after the initial surprise! The bed was very comfortable - two single beds push together into a double so loads of room. And there’s also a second bedroom with single beds. I’d 100% stay here again if returning to the area.
Negative: It is quite remote, which I absolutely loved, but just be prepared for that - although the owners are happy to come back to take you to the other side and back during your stay if you want to go anywhere.
