How to come to the resort
The Val d'Allos is a
mountain station
from the Southern Alps, north of the Alpes de Haute Provence department (04), at the source of the Verdon, in the Mercantour massif.
By road, in winter season you can reach the station only by the South, via Saint André les Alpes, in summer you can reach the station by the South, via Saint André les Alpes or by the North via Barcelonnette
1. From Marseille, take the A51 motorway to the 'les Mées' exit; then take the N85 towards Digne les Bains, go to Barrême; then take the N202 to St André les Alpes; finally the RD908 towards Col d'Allos
2. From Nice, take the RN202 towards Grenoble, go through Puget Thénier and St André les Alpes; in St André take the RD908 towards Col d'Allos
3. From Grenoble, Lyon take the N85 pass through Vizille, La Mure en Isère to Gap, then take the D900 to Barcelonnette, finally take the RD908 and pass the Col d'Allos (be careful narrow mountain pass, regulated and closed at certain times).
By public transport, you can reach the Val d'Allos stations by bus, train + bus or plane + bus depending on the period of your trip and your departure city.
