Summary: We loved the location in Maubec, a small town near Gordes with its own bakery, fruit and vegetable shop, butcher and grocery store. When we first arrived at the home, it looked comfortable and clean; it even had a backyard swimming pool. However, we soon discovered that it had none of the basics you would expect when renting a vacation property, not even an extra roll of toilet paper, dish detergent, or sponges. The sofa was both dirty and broken. There were no towels in the house when we arrived. To his credit, Gael did come back with towels in the evening when we informed him there were none. The listing indicated the home had a hair dryer, but there wasn't one. I asked Gael about this and he said it had broken. Okay ... then you replace it! Another issue we had was the propane tank that powers the stove. We could not get the stove to light. Gael came over and we discovered he had a very precarious set up connecting the tank and the stove. This seems to be a dangerous situation that should be corrected. We did enjoy the lovely yard with great views and appreciated having a barbecue.
