Spend a summer swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, and barbecuing in the sunshine when you make your Cape Cod home base at this house in Barnstable. You'll be just up the road from a small neighborhood beach on Wequaquet Lake, with an assortment of ocean beaches easily reached by car or by bike.
In this spot just south of Route 6, you'll come home from the beach each afternoon to be greeted by central AC and an airy, uncluttered living space that's full of natural light. You can grab a snack from the fully equipped kitchen, flip on the flatscreen cable TV in the living room, and find a cup holder for your cold drink within the L-shaped sofa. Through two sets of sliding glass doors is an expansive deck with a gas grill, a shaded patio table, and a lovely view of the surrounding trees and the yard down below.
There's a washer/dryer to refresh your swimsuits and towels each night, as well as free WiFi to help you plan the next day's adventures. When it's time to turn in, you'll find a primary bedroom suite on the main level, two more bedrooms and a hallway bathroom upstairs, and a fourth, separate bedroom on the lower floor with its own bathroom and sitting area.

Summary: We arrived at our 4pm check in and the property was not ready. There was one cleaning person who didn't speak english. After 7 hours of driving we expected to be able to enter right away to use the bathroom. 20 minutes after arriving additional cleaning people arrived. We were finally able to enter close to an hour after our check in time. The storm door to the main entrance was locked in the open position we assume because there wasn't any screen or glass in it. Additionally the entrance had numerous spider webs. The house itself had a nice layout. Some things have been updated and some things need updating. Items needing updating include electrical outlet under the couch (the power recliners didn't work), the door knob to the main bedroom was extremely loose, missing light bulbs in fixtures, as well as some outdated kitchen appliances. When looking under the couch for the electrical outlet it was very obvious that it hasn't been cleaned under there in quite awhile. There was also hand prints on the sliding glass doors. Speaking of those doors, they do not have any blinds or curtains on them. If you desire privacy or want to reduce the amount of sun coming into the living room, you're out of luck. The bedroom in the basement also didn't have a blind or curtain on the glass exterior door so privacy while sleeping was also not possible. Other areas of the house could use much better cleaning, but when you are rushing to get done because you're late, lots will be missed. We had an issue of the power going out. The property had a generator but there wasn't any instructions on how to hook it up. We did call the property manager who informed us someone would be calling within 30 minutes to assist us but they never did. 2 1/2 hours later the power was restored, but it was a hot 2 1/2 hours without the air conditioning. The refrigerator didn't have an ice maker. The toaster oven and microwave were old and didn't work well. The kitchen faucet was loose and the whole thing would turn when trying to just move the faucet. There wasn't any exhaust fan for the stove. The back deck was very spacious but the wood is starting to rot and feels soft. For as large as the deck is there was only a small table with 5 chairs. The umbrella for the table was broken. The property manager didn't offer anything for the issues we had. We would not stay there again, nor will we stay at any property managed by this company.
