Positive: The tiny room is tidily set up, has good books, the tiny bathroom is neat and the lady working here is nice. Also other guests are pleasant and weren’t loud.
Negative: I left a voicemail stating the description was inaccurate and to which I received no response . I only leave v good reviews generally as I appreciate the work in hosting and it is some people’s livelihood. It is important as a visitor to feel safe, particularly as a woman staying solo. The description of this booking is completely inaccurate. It is not an apartment . It is a tiny room and tiny bathroom around 2 by 2 not 17 m squared. It is like a maids room next to a laundry room that other people staying or the lady working here constantly access . The balcony is not private and people constantly coming and going accessing the laundry room . The kitchen is not private and also accessed regularly by other guests . It is not like having a whole floor to oneself like the other review and I doubt that reviews verity . It cannot be advertised as an apartment. It is a tiny room ensuite with access to a shared kitchen . There are inexpensive rooms in jakarta around £12 a night which are much bigger than this one . The pictures suggest living space as part of the “apartment “ but they are just other floor landings. There are apartments for around £18 a night in Jakarta and ones with pools and gyms. If this place had an honust description and charged around £9 -12 it would be acceptable. I would have been happy to give 5 stars if the description was true and had the price to match. But the description is not true and the price is crazy for what it is . if wanting a nice private stay with a jakarta view without being disturbed often this is not it. The 17 m squared description is not the case. I’d suggest making the description accurate to prevent guests disappointment. I do not like making a negative review anywhere so I shared first my experience with the owner who was insulting said you are weird and must have ulterior motives! as a human Lawyer accurate descriptions and no misrepresentation is important and receptiveness not rudeness as a host
