Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: This was a very nice apartment in a small town near Carrara which made it a good place for exploring both on foot and by car. The apartment is very spacious and has all the amenities we would expect including very well-appointed kitchen and bathroom. The owner was very responsive and even dropped by to help us out. There is a friendly little grocery store a few minutes walk away where we got all our food. We never did find a place withing walking distance that served food.

Negative: Access is a little tricky although the instructions were good. It's a small town with narrow streets and we were happy to have a small Fiat. That said, we were able to unload close by and there were places to park nearby. The stairs might be a worry if you are old (we are in our 70's and they were manageable).

Summary: Comfortable apartment in a very scenic part of Italy.
