Positive: Super friendly people, definitely if you speak Spanish. Great view from rooftop terrace. Could stay later than initial check-out time. Home made breakfast is offered by the pool. There's a restaurant (different owners I think) up on the roof for dinner.
Negative: Booked room wasn't available (told me upon booking). So no balcony, but also no discount. Twice water was off, twice no hot water. Room was clean and had all the basics - emphasis on basics. It needs an update. Hole in the wall from previous A/C, hole in mosquito net bathroom, crack in the sink etc. However, the price was low as well. Still, for just offering basics I'd want them to be good - paint the walls so that the stains aren't visible anymore. Check for hairs on pillows etc. Low fare doesn't mean basics can't be met.
