Very comfortable, bright and welcoming yet retaining original features such as working shutters, it provides a delightful base from which to get to know this fascinating region. The extensive grounds of Drumlanrig Castle are just two miles away, where there are lovely walks and the castle to visit. There are activities for everyone nearby, walks from the doorstep along the riverside, a playpark in the village, golf, fishing, hill walking and even panning for gold at Wanlockhead.
