Turtle's Nest is one of the best spots on Little Gasparilla Island for watching the sunset! This single level home rests at the edge of the sand dunes and has a west-facing screened deck that is a perfect gathering place for watching sunsets. Accommodations include three bedrooms and two baths on the main floor and an outdoor shower below. The master has a queen bed & private bathroom, while the guest room queen and the bunk room (with two sets of bunk beds) share a separate full bath. The home has recently been outfitted with all new appliances and has WiFi and satellite TV. We also offer services of a meet and greet and house cleaning at no additional fee. Our caretaker Paul can be contracted for additional a la carte concierge services should need arise during your stay that include options such as transportaton, grocery shopping, fishing outings and use of golf carts!

As part of the barrier island chain that includes Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Little Gasparilla offers the peace and quiet that those busy islands used to have. Accessible only by water taxi, Little Gasparilla has fewer tourists, no paved roads, no cars, no high-rises and no crowds on the beach. You vacation with dolphins, ospreys and sea turtles instead!
There’s great fishing from the beach or the dock, and both children & adults will enjoy shelling, swimming, snorkeling or simply enjoying the sun. With an island priority of protecting the sea turtles from light pollution, you’ll see more stars than you might think possible. And while there’s daily water-taxi service between the island and the mainland, we bet you’ll want to stay put once you’ve arrived.
Golf carts can be rented, but most prefer walking the sandy paths that run the length of the island. There’s an excellent fresh-fish market (Miss Cindy's) just across Placida Bay, and many restaurants and gift shops in the nearby towns of Boca Grande and Placida –– a few reachable by water-taxi.
